Literacy Week January 26 – 30, 2015
“Reading Accelerates Success”
Dress up days are listed below:
· Monday – I “mustache” you to read every day! – Wear a mustache
· Tuesday –Sock it to illiteracy! – Wear crazy socks
· Wednesday – Hats off to a Great Book! – Wear your favorite hat
· Thursday – Get TIED UP with a good book! -- Wear a cool tie
· Friday – Snuggle up with a good book! – Wear pajamas
We will be having Literacy Night on Thursday, Jan. 28th. There will be a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. hosted by our PTO. The dinner is a fundraiser for the PTO. Take-out plates will be available.
From 6 – 7 p.m. we will have grade level break-out sessions in each grade level. There will be lots of good information and door prizes, too! Make plans to join us.

School Advisory Council 2014-2015 will be meeting Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2014 at 3:15 p.m. in the library. If you are a parent, family member or anyone in the VES community please feel free to join us!
PTO 2014-2015 is open for membership. Any interested parents, grandparents or family members of VES students are encouraged to join.
