  • Two parent/guardian may attend field day per student, we are requesting no children/siblings be brought to the event.
  • The event for each grade level should not last more than 2 hours.
  • An overall grade winner will be announced at the end of the day for the class with the most points.
  • Parents and students cheering for events must be in the designated areas to observe events and not near the finish line.  We need a safe environment for the kids.
  • Please remind students to dress appropriately according to the weather.  Many have bought field day shirts, but remind them to wear shorts, loose clothing, and tennis shoes. Please label items brought to the school with the student’s first and last name.
  • Change of clothes (including socks if wet)
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito repellent
  • A towel or blanket to sit on
  • No Food or Drinks from Home (except water)
  • No gloves for tug of war
  • No cleats are allowed

**Sportsmanship is a big part of field day.  Field day is meant for fun, but is an opportunity for students to receive recognition for their athletic abilities.  Learning how to cope with losing and how to win with dignity is an extremely difficult concept for some children to learn. Let’s all work together in teaching this valuable lesson.  Most importantly let’s make sure the kids have an enjoyable day with their classmates.  Please make sure as parents we are encouraging sportsmanship and humility when participating in field day events.  Thank you for your support.
