Use a deck of cards. Play “21” to practice adding and subtracting and math reasoning.


Use a deck of cards, multiplying two numbers to practice facts.


Driving down the road call out math facts.  Facts memory is crucial to math success.


Ask your child to explain how they got an answer. Let him/her be the teacher.

When working on word problems, have your child draw a picture of each sentence. Comprehension of the words is very important. When they get the answer, have them label the answer with a word after it.  Ex.  45 balls    2 pieces of pie
